As many of you know, I love Foursquare. The location-based social network is the bee’s knees and if you’re following me on Twitter, you’ve no doubt seen my check-ins to various spots around NYC.
Some people claim it opens the door to robbery, stalking, and other deleterious instances of misfortune. But if you’re smart, set your permissions correctly, and tweet responsibly, there’s nothing for you to worry about.
One of the cool things about Foursquare is that as you check in different venues and areas, you can unlock a series of awesome badges. These badges are barometers of cool within the world of Foursquare, but they’ve always been completely virtual.

On Friday, March 5, some of the hottest female reggae selectors will be taking over Don Hill’s Nightclub and making it plain that they can hold it down as good, if not better, than most!
Toby, one half of hip-hop group Inverse, will be performing his first solo show on Friday, March 5, at Air Conditioned in Venice, California. He’ll be backed by the band Manifest and stunning vocalist Mary Akpa.
On Thursday, March 4, make the trek out to Brooklyn for Rock The Disco, the brand new monthly party at Deity.
Once again it’s on.
The new video for Kanye West’s “Coldest Winter,” directed by Nabil Elderkin, has finally been released. While West himself isn’t featured in the clip, it does feature a remixed version of the 808s & Heartbreaks cut.
The VH1 Save the Music Foundation Benefit is taking place Tuesday, March 2, at the beautiful Union Square Ballroom. The event, which is being presented by Sabrina Chapman Public Relations & Sally Shan, will be filmed by VH1.
